Caitlin Bevis, Managing Partner at Breakpoint Advisors, discovered a need in the commercial real estate sector for impartial valuations delivered with a client-first mentality. A Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute and licensed in multiple states, Caitlin is well-versed in the appraisal of all primary property types across the US. Over the past several years, Caitlin has focused on the valuation of CBD and suburban office, industrial, retail, and multifamily assets. Proficient in the newest ARGUS software, ARGUS Enterprise, Caitlin has trained colleagues and students at the Steers Center for Global Real Estate at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. She is also an active member of CREW Boston. With a Master’s Degree in the Humanities from the University of Chicago and over 17 years in the commercial real estate field, Caitlin’s unique blend of the arts and finance results in accurate, effectively communicated appraisals. When not serving her clients, Caitlin enjoys Friday night dance parties with her family, perfecting the weekend getaway, and trying to keep up with her amazing running group. Joel Bevis, Partner at Breakpoint Advisors, focuses chiefly on the valuation of multifamily and mixed-use assets in both urban and suburban settings. As a former Director in the Boston office of Capright, Joel has spent the last several years serving primarily institutional clients and working across all property types. He began his appraisal career with Integra Realty Resources in Chicago with an emphasis on valuations for financial institutions for lending purposes. Proficient in ARGUS Enterprise and having completed some 750 appraisals over 25 states, he is an experienced and pragmatic commercial real estate professional. With a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Joel has a keen interest in the relationship between people and place within the built environment. In his personal life, Joel is typically found in the company of his wife, Caitlin, and son, Sidney, the latter of whom is the driving force for his conversion to a Boston Red Sox and Celtics fan. Andrew Meschewski, Partner at Breakpoint Advisors, leads the Los Angeles office and focuses on all major asset classes located in the Western United States. Prior to Breakpoint Advisors, Andrew was a Director at Capright’s San Diego and Chicago offices and has spent the last several years serving primarily institutional clients for purposes that include financial reporting for pension fund requirements, asset management, and acquisition due diligence. During his employ with Capright, Andrew trained colleagues on the appraisal process and completed assignments in over 20 states. His interest in commercial real estate was fostered at the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with majors in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics as well as Risk Management and Insurance. With his proficiency in ARGUS Enterprise and knowledge of an ever-changing commercial real estate environment, Andrew ensures that each valuation and consulting assignment exemplifies his desire for delivering thorough, cohesive analyses that meet client expectations and deadlines. In his free time, Andrew enjoys travelling and meticulously curating his ever-growing compact disc collection, which he hopes will one day be as hip as vinyl. Crane Cantrell, Managing Director at Breakpoint Advisors, is based in Jacksonville, Florida and focuses on all asset classes throughout the Southeastern United States. Crane was a Senior Manager at Altus Group before joining Breakpoint Advisors and has spent the last several years serving institutional clients across the entire spectrum of the appraisal, appraisal review, and appraisal management process. After graduating from Auburn University with a major in Finance, Crane’s appraisal career commenced at a regional appraisal firm in Atlanta, Georgia (McColgan & Company) where he received a strong education base in valuation. During his tenure at Altus of just under a decade, Crane’s responsibilities ranged from everything from training colleagues in the fine points of appraisal/ARGUS software, to consulting institutional clients, to the appraisal management process of ODCE and other institutional portfolio totaling more than $20 billion in assets under management. Crane’s institutional valuation knowledge of the four major food groups is not to be overshadowed by his extensive experience in the hospitality/resort and student-housing sectors. When he’s not awaiting the latest Argus subversion release or finding new property types to appraise, Crane enjoys traveling with his wife and two sons on his quest to play 18 golf holes in all 50 United States. Alejandra Curry, Senior Director at Breakpoint Advisors, is based in Chicago and focuses on all major asset classes in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast. Ali is licensed as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in multiples states and is proficient in ARGUS Enterprise. She has been in the valuation industry for over a decade appraising a variety of diverse and complex assets ranging from ground up, mixed-use urban developments to CBD trophy office towers. Ali received her degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she majored in Speech Communications. Prior to starting her career in valuation, Ali was in property management where she assisted with the daily operation of commercial office buildings. It was there that she developed a passion for real estate. Ali lives in Chicago with her husband and three children. She enjoys planning the perfect party and one day hopes to perfect her golf game to keep up with her golf-loving family. Ronald K. Kennedy is a Senior Director in the Los Angeles office of Breakpoint Advisors. He focuses on all major asset classes located in the Western and Southwestern United States. Prior to joining Breakpoint Advisors, Ron was a Senior Director at Capright’s San Diego and Chicago offices and has spent the last several years serving primarily institutional clients for purposes that include financial reporting for pension fund requirements, asset management, and acquisition due diligence. During his tenure with Capright, Ron completed more than 1,000 appraisal assignments throughout the United States and Mexico. With more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, including 18 years as an appraiser, Ron has not only worked extensively in the major asset classes of industrial, office, retail, and multi-family, he has also completed appraisals of such diverse properties as vacant land, life sciences facilities, medical buildings, self-storage facilities, and restaurants. In his free time, Ron enjoys spending time with his wife, Bianca, working with polo horses, and investing in blockchain/cryptocurrency technologies. Susannah Cintron, Senior Associate at Breakpoint Advisors, is a trainee appraiser supporting Breakpoint senior staff with appraisal projects within the US. Susannah began her appraisal career with Capright where she assisted with research, data analysis and narrative report writing for various property types across the United States. Prior to embarking on her career change, Susannah spent over ten years as a nonprofit and fundraising professional in the Boston area. Most recently, Susannah was a Senior Development Researcher with Combined Jewish Philanthropies where she partnered with development staff on prospect management strategies for major donors to support the annual fundraising goal. Susannah is a graduate of Indiana University where she majored in Telecommunications. Susannah lives in Boston with her husband and two children. She is the proud parent of a Boston Public Schools student and is actively involved as a parent volunteer, both at the neighborhood and city-wide level. Drew Bevis, Associate at Breakpoint Advisors, is a trainee appraiser supporting Breakpoint senior staff with appraisal projects within the US. Drew began his career in commercial real estate after spending five years in the international education field, developing curriculum and managing projects for Bridge International Academies. Upon completing a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, he entered commercial real estate hoping to apply both his writing and analytical skills in support of appraisal projects. Drew lives in Boston with his fiancé. When not working, you can find him on the golf course, community organizing, or writing. CJ Uthe, Associate at Breakpoint Advisors, is a trainee appraiser supporting Breakpoint senior staff with appraisal projects within the US. CJ received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BS) at North Carolina State University. Upon graduation, he worked in the non-profit sector managing projects and fundraisers and building relationships with community leaders, before transitioning to commercial real estate. CJ holds a Real Estate Brokers License, and prior to joining Breakpoint served commercial banking clients as an Associate Portfolio Manager at Truist Bank providing underwriting and risk management analysis. CJ prides himself on his ability to build and maintain relationships as well as his ability to efficiently and effectively identify solutions to complex problems. CJ lives in Greensboro, North Carolina with his wife and daughter, with another baby girl on the way in spring of 2023. When he’s not working, you can find him trying to squeeze in a quick round of golf, enjoying a good book, or sharing quality conversation over dessert. Rob McNeil, Associate at Breakpoint Advisors, is a trainee appraiser supporting Breakpoint senior staff. Rob attended Baylor University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Film and Digital Media and a minor in Creative Writing. After graduation, he spent five years working in post-production for television series, during which time he oversaw the projects’ finances and acted as coordinator between departments. Rob has segued to commercial real estate appraisal where he applies his writing and analytical skills and fosters his strong attention to detail and dedication to high-quality results. In his free time, Rob enjoys adventuring with his wife and playing board games. Joel Rofkahr, Associate at Breakpoint Advisors, supports Breakpoint senior staff. Joel attended Wheaton College in Illinois, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Communication & Media Studies. Upon graduation, he worked as a Program Manager for an event marketing company in Minneapolis before pivoting to a career in real estate. Joel got his start as an Associate Agent at Redfin in Chicago, where he worked for several years before making the jump to commercial appraisal. Joel spent his first year in appraisal as an Associate with NPV Advisors, where he gained broad exposure to the four main asset types and developed his skills in research, analysis, and Argus modeling. Joel lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his wife and two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys reading, hiking, playing competitive billiards, and traveling to new and exotic places. After spending her early career working in hospitality and eager to tackle new opportunities and challenges, Phoebe joined Breakpoint Advisors as the Director of Operations where she provides high quality service to our clients. By applying those skills acquired as an aspiring sommelier, she provides a meticulously personalized experience for both clients and her colleagues. Phoebe holds a BA from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, where she focused on political philosophy, history, and urban studies. In her free time, Phoebe enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband welcomed their first daughter in fall of 2022.
