Joel BevisJoel Bevis, Partner at Breakpoint Advisors, focuses chiefly on the valuation of multifamily and mixed-use assets in both urban and suburban settings. As a former Director in the Boston office of Capright, Joel has spent the last several years serving primarily institutional clients and working across all property types. He began his appraisal career with Integra Realty Resources in Chicago with an emphasis on valuations for financial institutions for lending purposes. Proficient in ARGUS Enterprise and having completed some 750 appraisals over 25 states, he is an experienced and pragmatic commercial real estate professional. With a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Joel has a keen interest in the relationship between people and place within the built environment. Andrew Meschewski, MAIAndrew Meschewski, Partner at Breakpoint Advisors, leads the Los Angeles office and focuses on all major asset classes located in the Western United States. Prior to Breakpoint Advisors, Andrew was a Director at Capright’s San Diego and Chicago offices and has spent the last several years serving primarily institutional clients for purposes that include financial reporting for pension fund requirements, asset management, and acquisition due diligence. During his employ with Capright, Andrew trained colleagues on the appraisal process and completed assignments in over 20 states. His interest in commercial real estate was fostered at the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with majors in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics as well as Risk Management and Insurance. Crane Cantrell, MAICrane Cantrell, Managing Director at Breakpoint Advisors, is based in Jacksonville, Florida and focuses on all asset classes throughout the Southeastern United States. Crane was a Senior Manager at Altus Group before joining Breakpoint Advisors and has spent the last several years serving institutional clients across the entire spectrum of the appraisal, appraisal review, and appraisal management process. After graduating from Auburn University with a major in Finance, Crane’s appraisal career commenced at a regional appraisal firm in Atlanta, Georgia (McColgan & Company) where he received a strong education base in valuation. During his tenure at Altus of just under a decade, Crane’s responsibilities ranged from everything from training colleagues in the fine points of appraisal/ARGUS software, to consulting institutional clients, to the appraisal management process of ODCE and other institutional portfolio totaling more than $20 billion in assets under management. Crane’s institutional valuation knowledge of the four major food groups is not to be overshadowed by his extensive experience in the hospitality/resort and student-housing sectors. Alejandra CurryAlejandra Curry, Senior Director at Breakpoint Advisors, is based in Chicago and focuses on all major asset classes in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast. Ali is licensed as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in multiples states and is proficient in ARGUS Enterprise. She has been in the valuation industry for over a decade appraising a variety of diverse and complex assets ranging from ground up, mixed-use urban developments to CBD trophy office towers. Ali received her degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she majored in Speech Communications. Prior to starting her career in valuation, Ali was in property management where she assisted with the daily operation of commercial office buildings. With more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, including 18 years as an appraiser, Ron has not only worked extensively in the major asset classes of industrial, office, retail, and multi-family, he has also completed appraisals of such diverse properties as vacant land, life sciences facilities, medical buildings, self-storage facilities, and restaurants. Terry VangaTerry Vanga, Director at Breakpoint Advisors, is based in Austin and has her Certified General License in multiple states. Terry received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of New Hampshire and has experience appraising a variety of property types including single- and multi-tenant industrial facilities, flex space, multifamily properties, mixed-use properties, single- and multi-tenant suburban office, medical office, neighborhood retail, single-tenant retail, land use developments, and special-use buildings. Prior to becoming an appraiser, she worked on the investment team responsible for researching mortgage-backed securities at Loomis Sayles in Boston as well as in the actuarial valuation division at Sun Life Financial. Sharan MartinSharan Martin is a Director at Breakpoint Advisors. She has been involved in real estate leasing, management, and valuation since 1980. Currently licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in two states, Sharan was most recently a staff appraiser with Carr, Sigsbee & Associates, where she focused on commercial real estate valuation, including office, retail, and warehouse properties, business and industrial parks, residential subdivisions, and mixed-use developments. Her practice also included eminent domain appraisal. Her leasing and property management experience almost exclusively involved retail centers. Sharan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland; has successfully completed all courses for the Certified Property Management designation awarded by the Institute of Real Estate Management; and stays current in the appraisal field through continuing educational requirements necessary to retain Certified General designations. In addition to her commercial real estate interests, Sharan has embarked on a formal art docent training program and has been appointed to the Historic Preservation Commission of her small city. Susannah CintronSusannah Cintron, Senior Associate at Breakpoint Advisors, is a trainee appraiser supporting Breakpoint senior staff with appraisal projects within the US. Susannah began her appraisal career with Capright where she assisted with research, data analysis and narrative report writing for various property types across the United States. Prior to embarking on her career change, Susannah spent over ten years as a nonprofit and fundraising professional in the Boston area. Most recently, Susannah was a Senior Development Researcher with Combined Jewish Philanthropies where she partnered with development staff on prospect management strategies for major donors to support the annual fundraising goal. Susannah is a graduate of Indiana University where she majored in Telecommunications. Susannah lives in Boston with her husband and two children. Christine began her career in Information Technology Consulting and Project Management with IBM, leading cross-functional and multi-national teams to deliver complex IT solutions to a variety of Fortune 100, 500, and public sector clients. After more than a decade, Christine then put her technical and organizational skills to use at a more localized level, as a project and program manager for political candidates and within the non-profit sector.
